Olu Olu Honey Beans are a variety of blackeye beans that are commonly used throughout Nigeria and West Africa. They are celebrated for their uniquely sweet taste and great texture. They are used to tropicalise a vast array of delicious dishes ranging from soups, stews and curries as well as traditional African dishes like Moyin Moyin. To create a delicious and highly nutritious meal. Place beans in a pot; cover with fresh water and bring to a boil. Add 1 tsp of Coconut Oil, 1tsp of honey and salt to taste. Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently until beans are tender but firm. These beans will cook within 45 minutes to 1 hour. Periodically, try a taste test or mash a bean against the side of the pot with a fork or spoon, to see if cooked.
